After Arnav left, Akash felt really bad for lying to his brother. He remembered the old times when he used to share everything with Arnav. But now, he felt like his whole life was meaningless. How can he say that he didn't return home because he was drunk? It was true that he had a reason for his state yesterday, but he was sure that Arnav would not understand. The whole Raizada family was against alcohol. If they got to know that he was drunk, they would get all worried. Only he knew it happened by mistake for once, because he missed her so much. It was the day when he met his wife 12 years before. But today she was not with him, to share his life. Tears started to flow when he remembered the good old times.
Twelve years before, Akash met this wonderful girl, when he was studying at the university. She was one year junior to him. Her name was Chaya, and she was really beautiful. She had a big mouth and was good at playing pranks on others. One of her pranks made them closer, and this closeness later made them fall in love with each other. Their pathway to marriage was smooth, as if it felt like walking on a bed of roses. After being in love with each other for one year, they thought about letting their families know about their relationship. Both their families were happy, as both Akash & Chaya were well educated. They were studying in the same field. Their respective families had a very good place in the society. So both the families thought of arranging their wedding soon. They were married, and led a happily wedded life. Their lives were blissed by the god, and Chaya became pregnant. After few months they got to know that they were having twins. Whole Raizada family was overjoyed. And the lucky parents were over the moon. Akash was overjoyed as he was going to become a proud dad of twins. But never in their dreams did they believe that their happiness will be short lived. It was the day of the delivery. The whole Raizada family & Chaya's family was at the hospital. They were waiting to hear a good news from the doctor. Suddenly the doctor came out to give the news. But the news was not what anyone expected. While delivering the first baby, Chaya had faced a complication, which resulted in her losing a massive amount of blood. She had become unconscious, and she couldn't push the second baby. So they had to do an emergency C-section. But it was too late. Doctors had unfortunately lost both the mother and the other kid. This news made Akash go down on his knees. From that day onwards he lost all hopes about his life. But all the other members of his family were their to support him in bringing up his kid, Arush. Nani was the best great grandmom Arush could have ever dreamed of. Akash's mom & dad took care of Arush, as they felt really proud, because it was their first time to become grandparents. Anjali became the mom to Arush. And Arush's best friend and best Chachu was Arnav. So this child didn't miss his mother's love much. Akash had stood by his son on every step he took towards becoming a grown up. But Akash changed, because he felt like he had a big responsibility. He was not the teenage boy who fell in love, he was not the son everybody loved, he was not a husband anymore. He was a dad. And the word "DAD", made him feel more responsible. He felt like a big person. So he had started to make his own decisions and had stopped sharing stuff with others, especially Arnav. He had forgotten to smile, as he had so many responsibilites. Although Arush got love from everyone around him, Akash knew Arush missed his mom a lot. Not only did Arush miss a mother's love, he also missed his maternal grandparents love. The day Chaya died, her parents thought that it was all because of bad luck. Akash couldn't believe that they were all superstitious, but they blamed the kid, who was lucky to live. Akash tried to explain and put some sense into their heads. But it was worthless. So Arush not only didn't get his mom's love, he also lost his maternal grandparents love on the day he was born. The sudden call from his son made Akash forget his dreadful past.
"Papa", Arush said.
"Yes my boy, what are you doing here?", Akash asked lovingly.
"I missed you. Can we go to sleep now", Arush said in a soft, sad tone.
"Yeah, lets go", Akash said and left with Arush to get a good night's sleep.
It was Thursday, and Lavanya had arrived at Arnav's office early in the morning at 8.15am, in the hope of making a good impression on his mind about her. She was all excited to work with Arnav, after all it was every girls dream. She was jealous of Khushi, when she found out that Arnav himself had offered Khushi a job. Now Lavanya only wanted to win ASR's heart, by hook or by crook. She had kept her hair open. It was 8.45am and she was now loosing her patience, as Arnav had not yet arrived.
At around 9.05am, Arnav entered AR Designs and his eyes fell on the girl who was busy working. From yesterday onwards he had noticed that Khushi was running from here to there with Aman. She was really efficient, when compared to any other girl. Although she was working so hard, there was not even a slightest hint of tiredness on her face. Khushi had put a ponytail, and two streaks of hair were kept free on both sides. She suddenly saw ASR watching her, but her mind didn't realize that he had been staring at her for a long time. She smiled and wished him, "Good Morning". He returned the smile and said, "Good morning, Miss Gupta. Seems like you are very busy, which is of course a good thing", saying that Arnav left towards his cabin. He was unaware that a pair of eyes had noticed him observing Khushi.
Arnav was surprised to see Lavanya in his office, when he suddenly remembered that he had asked her to meet him today. He was impressed that she had arrived before him. She looked gorgeous and beautiful at the same time. Frankly speaking she had a figure of a model, unlike Khushi. He greeted her and both continued their conversation regarding the legal matters of their upcoming meeting. While talking with Lavanya he had realized that she had a vast knowledge about her field. She also seemed to have a cunning mind, which was required to handle legal matters. But she seemed to have one thing common with the other rich spoiled girls he had met, "A big head". Lavanya seemed to be a person who wanted everything to be done according to her wish, just like him. But there was a difference between him and her. He was reasonable, on the other hand Lavanya didn't care whether her decision was right or wrong. Also he found that Khushi and Lavanya were different. He couldn't figure out who was better, but he liked Lavanya's knowledge, attitude and appearance. But as for Khushi, he liked her confidence, straight forwardness, dedication, creativeness and also her simple,charming personality. But he found more of his qualities similar to Lavanya.
"I think I should go now", said Lavanya after they discussed everything they wanted. She didn't want to leave, but she didn't want to act like a crazy fan girl who was desperate to be with him. It wouldn't make her successful in her mission in winning ASR. She didn't have an idea to woo ASR before, but after meeting ASR day before yesterday for the first time, there were two reasons she wanted him for herself. One was he was handsome and perfect in every way as her life partner. Second reason was she didn't want Khushi to have ASR, because ASR was her target. Once Lavanya marks a target for herself, she will never let anyone get hold of it.
So saying good bye, she left the cabin.
While coming downstairs, Lavanya was thinking about ASR, when she bumped into someone and she fell.
Khushi was on her phone, and was going to ASR's cabin to meet him to talk about a budget problem. She didn't see Lavanya coming downstairs. She didn't realize that she would bump on to Lavanya, but for her bad luck she did.
"Khushi, how dare you? Don't you know to watch where you are going?", Lavanya shouted at Khushi angrily.
"Sorry Lav, I didn't see you. I was busy with a client. Let me help you", Khushi tried to help Lavanya to stand, but Lavanya refused her help. Aman came running to see why all the employees have gathered around.
"Don't you dare touch me Khushi. You purposely did this", said Lavanya rudely. Aman seeing the situation helped Lavanya to stand up. Lavanya checked her leg. There were no twists or bruises, just a little pain.
"I'm sorry Di, but what do you mean I purposefully did this. It was an accident", Khushi said with a questioning tone.
"Really??? Stop being a kid. I know what you were trying to do. You like ASR, that's why you agreed to do this job. Else why would a person who was completely not interested in working under a Boss, choose to do a job under the most strict Boss in India? But when you got to know that I was going to be his legal adviser, you became jealous. Because you thought he would like me, as I'm more like him. So to stop me from working with him, this was the great opportunity. Luckily I didn't twist my ankle or injure my leg. If something had happened, I wouldn't have been able to hang around with him", Lavanya spatted out what was going on in her mind since morning.
"What the hell is wrong with you Di? Are you out of your mind? It was an accident. And I'm sorry. I haven't even noticed that you both are alike, because I have been fully busy arranging the party. If you have a doubt, ask Aman", Khushi said as she couldn't understand why Lavanya was accusing her of something she didn't do.

I still can't understand why mom and dad are keeping you under our roof. I think they are not clever enough to understand, that what your doing is an act. All you want is their money, so that you don't have to spend money for food, lodging, etc. But don't think you can fool ASR. He is far cleverer than my parents. You won't be able to get a penny from him, because he doesn't care for girls who are adopted. He won't fall for a girl like you. Come on, look at you. Do you think you are beautiful? Do you have a proper job? At least do you have a family, who is wealthy? No Khushi, you are just an ordinary girl. You would have been an orphan, if my parents didn't give you a roof", Lavanya kept on bashing Khushi, as she was jealous that Arnav had eyes on Khushi.

But Khushi, knowing nothing didn't understand what was wrong. She felt hurt, but most of all she felt angry. "What do you want me to say Di? That I made you fall? Fine, I did. Happy now?", Khushi blurted out in anger.
"I knew it. You are such a selfish person. You did this to your own Di?", Lavanya questioned with anger.

"Own Di???? Are you kidding me Lav. I thought you said I am an orphan. So I don't think I have a sister anymore. I think it's time for you to leave. If you have more accusations for me, you can continue at home. But right now, I have to meet ASR, as it is urgent", Khushi continued in anger.
"How could you talk to me like that?", Lavanya shouted.
"Why didn't you like it? I was talking to you in the same way that you have been talking to me", Khushi said in an confident tone, as she didn't want to hear another word from Lavanya.
"That's enough Khushi!!!!!!!! How dare you behave in my office like this?", came the voice of an angry ASR, as this was one of the things he hated to see in his office. The calm and peaceful nature of his office being disturbed.
